Heart Disease can strike anybody

An annual physical is essential in maintaining good health and early detection of any serious health problems.  Be sure to take advanatage of health insurance benefits and give yourself that annual birthday present to yourself!

Many people think that men are more at risk for a heart attack, not true! About 1/2 of the women age 45 plus have high blood pressure. High blood pressure increases their risk for many problems including heart disease, stroke and a heart attack.

Signs such as pain or pressure in the chest, jaw, neck or arm should be taken serious all the time, but even more so in a someone in their 40’s. Never ignore this kind of pain. And you should try to stay away from sodium. load up on fresh foods instead.

After menopause or around 50 both men and women should fine tune their heart condition radar. Know all the signs of heart problems because they can differ from person to person. Always address any symptoms with a doctor even if your not sure.

In our 60’s we tend to slow down. Maybe due to arthritis or joint pain. We become more sedentary. We should focus on getting any exercise we can. Even if just a short walk around the yard to water your garden.
