Almost everyone at one time or another would like to take of some extra pounds. And us American’s have tried everything. From the soup diet to the Atkins. What really works and what keeps it off is the questions everyone wants to know. Let’s look at some of the popular fads.

Most fad diets cut some sort of nutrition and this is never the answer. Crash diets do take of the weight which make them very tempting. But, have you seen what happens when you stop the crash? It is not a pretty site. And you just can not stay on a crash diet forever.

And what about eating from one food group. We all know this is not right! Anytime we have to cut out food groups we are not going to get the nutrition we need. And failure is bound to happen. Yes, you can lose weight eating nothing but meat and veggies, but is it really healthy and satisfying for the long term?

Let’s cover pills now. There are literally thousands of diet pills that can be purchased over the counter. That doesn’t make them safe or the right choice. Many of these pills have products in them that can cause all sorts of health problems. Digestive problems, heart conditions and even stroke.
